Easy Brownies (just like instant brownies)

Easy brownies recipe that simply melt in your mouth.

As simple to make as instant brownie mix, but just as delicious. This simple brownie recipe is for all levels of baking experience to enjoy!

With the colder weather approaching, I am sure we all want some warm goodies. There is nothing better to fulfill this craving than some fresh baked chocolate brownies! Many people get nervous when it comes to baking as it can be very easy to mess up. Unlike cooking, when you make a mistake in baking, it can be difficult to fix it. But making your own baked goods can be incredibly rewarding. Having fresh, warm brownies is also pretty nice too!

Easy Brownies (just like instant brownies)

This recipe is foolproof. Regardless of how good of a baker you are, you can make this recipe easy peasy. There are many additions you can make to this recipe, like adding nuts or caramel, but this is the simplest version of brownies. If you have a bit more experience, you are more than welcome to adjust the recipe to your liking.

Honestly, I could eat a whole tray of these brownies straight (I might get sick, but it would be worth it!). But, if you want to add a little extra something, add some vanilla ice cream to your fresh baked brownies. The combination of the cold ice cream and the warm brownie creates a flavor and texture combo that is just out of this world delightful.

Brownies are amazing at any time of the year, but with the holidays approaching this simple recipe is the perfect way to cut your baking time significantly. Prepping all the food and goodies can take a lot of time, and sometimes we don’t get to enjoy as much of our family because of it. With only 5 minutes of preparation and 25 minutes of cook time, you only spend 30 minutes total on baking the brownies, and can spend all the time you saved having fun with everyone. If you want to save even more time, you can mix the dry and wet ingredients all in at once without sacrificing delicious brownies! That’s what I tend to do on lazy days!

NOTES:

  • Since this is a simple recipe, try using higher quality cocoa powder to bring out a stronger chocolate flavor. If this isn’t feasible for you, don’t worry – the brownies will still be delightful no matter what cocoa powder you use.
  • Follow the measurements closely! Baking really is a science, so the slightest change could alter the results of your brownies.
  • DO NOT OVERBAKE: Every oven is different, so keep an eye on your brownies and adjust baking time as needed. A great way to check the doneness is with a toothpick (a fork or knife could work as well). Put the toothpick through the middle of the brownie, and if it comes with few crumbs then it is done baking.
  • Sifting the dry ingredients can produce a smoother batter as it will take out any impurities or lumps before being mixed.
